During the Tiansheng period of the Northern Song Dynasty, Wang Weiyi of the Imperial Medical Institute designed and cast an early version of the bronze acupuncture figure, with main acupuncture points distributed on the chest, back, and arms. This bronze figure is reproduced by commission from the museum.
